Jennifer Kim's City Council Ad: "Independence"

by: David Mauro

Sat Apr 26, 2008 at 07:45 PM CDT

Jennifer Kim has a new ad called "Independence." The ad highlights that she voted against toll roads, opposed subsidies for the Domain shopping center and refused the council's pay raise.

The ad also touts her endorsements from the Austin Women's Political Caucus, Austin Sierra Club and the Austin Neighborhoods Council.

Jennifer Kim (1.00 / 3)

Jennifer Kim is not interested in helping the community!

It's always been about her!

Her favorite song is ......

It's about me, me, me,

It's about me, me, me,

It's about me, me, me,

Not only did she want to skip security at the airport, she also got a speeding ticket and asked the officer "do you know who I am."

If I was that Police Officer I would have said "Yes, I know who you are, you are Jennifer Kim the Austin City Council Member who couldn't wait in line at the air airport to go through security and you are Jennifer Kim Austin City Council member who is getting a big fat ticket for breaking the law!"

I am voting for Ken Weiss because unlike Jennifer Kim, Ken will stand in the security line at the airport and he will obey the laws!

Ok of all things to criticize Jennifer Kim for... (0.00 / 0)
...you picked the worst.  Complain about her pandering to voters and lack of firm stances on issues.  Complain about her lack of accessibility.  Though these issues may still be misguided or simply incorrect, at least they would be relevant.  This is a non-issue, and your attempt to resuscitate it in some odd attempt to paint Ken Weiss as a populist fighting the elitism of City Hall annoys me.

every time you watch it.

shade's ad shows her interacting with real people at real austin locations.  kim's is a little cold and impersonal.

and i just can't get over the techno music and how tight they shot everything.

there are also... (0.00 / 0)
... 3 letters "e"'s in the 'agreeed' to not comply with contribution and expenditure limits of the Austin Fair Campaign Chapter disclaimer.
