| In theory, the second link will provide you with access to the name, title, address, phone and fax of every election administrator in the state (not always the same elected position...or even AN elected position at all).
Inevitably you'll find that special election judge that has their own "unique" interpretation of the law. To help you get around that, here are a few tips:
1)Unlike election day, during the early voting period any voter registered in a particular county may vote at any early voting site.
2)Bring your voter registration card or driver's license. You can bring any other dozen or so items...but we're waiting here, just bring the DL or the vtr reg and keep it moving.
3)If you or the person you're taking to vote cannot easily get out of the vehicle or stand for long periods, call ahead and talk to the election judge...they MUST let you "curbside vote" right there in your car. Although Federal law forces all locations to be accessible, there is no law against long lines.
4)You can't wear your gear into the polling location OR electioneer within the 100-foot boundary. You can get escorted off site by the boys in blue (not that I would know from personal experience).
5)If all else fails, call the SOS at 1.800.252.VOTE (8683) or 512.463.5650 to get answers to your questions about election procedures and the election code.
Don't be scared or intimidated. If you're not sure what to do, ask the guy/gal next to you and I'm sure they'll help.
