Gov. Perry to Attend Secret Forum in Turkey

by: Karl-Thomas Musselman

Fri Jun 01, 2007 at 04:45 AM CDT

From the world of the strange and bizarre comes news that Gov. Rick Perry will be flying out of the country to attend a super-secret annual forum in Istanbul, Turkey. Details (what little there are) courtesy of Christy Hoppe of the Dallas Morning News.

Gov. Rick Perry is flying to Istanbul, Turkey, today to speak at the super-secret Bilderberg Conference, a meeting of about 130 international leaders in business, media and politics.

The invitation-only conference was started in 1954 and named for the Dutch hotel where the conference was first held. Those who attend promise not to reveal what was discussed, security is tight, and the press and public are barred.

The conference has been the subject of conspiracy theorists and even Christian groups who wonder about its influence.

Robert Black, the governor's press secretary, said the governor was invited to attend and speak about state-federal relations. Mr. Black dismissed the conspiracy theories.

"He's looking forward to learning the secret handshake," Mr. Black joked.

Yes, I'm sure he's flying all the way to Turkey to discuss something as lame as "state-federal relations". I'm sure there wouldn't happen to be any of the folks from the Spanish toll-road interests that stand to gain billions in investment from his TTC scheme.

Of course, someone might wish to inform the Governor that Turkey has been building up forces along its southern border pending a potential incursion into the Kurdish lands in northern Iraq. Maybe this is all just a clever international draft effort to help another country invade Iraq since it seems to be the popular thing to do in the middle east these days.

We know he is going.

Why (0.00 / 0)
Maybe it is to pressure them on the Armenian Genocide? Wait, does he believe in genocide?

Or to give them advice (0.00 / 0)
about how to effectively keep denying it, even though nearly everyone else is opposed to you on that issue.  Kind of like Perry and the toll roads.

The Bilderberg Conference is expected to meet at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey for the June, 2007 meeting.

Must be nice after all the Governor must be tired having refereed all that crap in the Texas House last week - sure and I've got a couple of bridges for sell in the SF bay area, one of which has been recently refurbished!

Not sure if I could blame them too much, as they actually have been dealing with Kurdish terrorists using Iraq as a sanctuary.

Well he'll have some noted and notorious company (0.00 / 0)
Although they put forth great effort to keep the guest list secret, Kissinger and Rumsfeld have been regulars, and the 'nets say Wolfowitz and Richard Perle will be there too.

Past guest lists have included media and corporate bigwigs, like Wall Street Journal Ed Page Editor Paul Gigot, KKR founding partner Henry Kravis, platoons of CEOs from outfits like Fiat, Credit Suisse, BP, CocaCola, not to mention bundles of bankers, gaggles of government and ex-government officials - all in all, about 120 of the current Masters of the Universe.

And they invited our own Gov Goodhair.  Aren't we proud?

State-federal relations is code (0.00 / 0)
For the record, I've had a coffee at the Ritz Carlton in Istanbul (where you can get a cup of western as opposed to syrupy Turkish brew), and I can tell you firsthand it's quite swank. We're talking Ottoman opulence. Istanbul is one of the coolest cities in the world - wish I were going.

BTW, when Perry uses the term "state-federal relations" it's usually code for "Why won't Washington D.C do something about all these Mexicans? ... Like give me money to dole out as pork! ... To stop terrorism!" Hard to understand why the global elite would care to hear that spiel, so perhaps he's coming up with original material.

It's a business trip... (0.00 / 0)
He's going on behalf of George W. and all the other great influences in his political life.  He feels that there are other companies (countries) that might want to own a piece of Texas, and may be willing to pay more than Cintra.  Texas is for sale, and Rick has designated himself as the primary broker!  I hope (and pray) that we take out most of his assistant agents in '08, and then maybe have all of the evictions finalized by 2010.  Maybe then, we can host our own international conference in Austin, ag. related, of course: "Composting of dirty politicians for the public good."

Perry's future at stake? (Ron Paul thinks so) (0.00 / 0)
Could Governor Perry's invitation to Bilderberg have something to do with "vetting" him for VP? Speculation (by some) in '04 was that John Edwards' performance there was a factor in his being chosen for the ticket.

Apparently, Ron Paul says that Perry is in violation of the Logan Act.

I don't often cite Prison Planet or Ron Paul, but what the he**. Perry will either end up as the VP choice on somebody's ticket (if he performs well) or in jail (if Ron Paul prevails).

Good luck, Governor!

It's the TTC (0.00 / 0)
It seems they are interested in the economic model of Perry's Trans Texas Corridor - - and in ways to shove arrangements like this down the throat of the public.

While Perry's in Turkey International interests through NASCO are hobnobbing in Fort Worth (0.00 / 0)
I posted a journal which leads off similar to this one about Perry, but the bulk of it is about how the Texas Transportation Code and US Transportation Code got changed through efforts of folks in NASCO with TxDOT and local county/city elected officials tied in with multi-national money intersts.  I tried to correct the misspelled word in the heading but the journal keeps disappearing when I tried to edit it.

it was deleted (0.00 / 0)
The enormous string of ALL CAPS in the title was grounds for deletion the first time as per the journal rules which are posted right at the top of writing new journals. I think you corrected it though.
