  • EOW points out that the TTC moratorium may be veto proof now.

  • Michael Dell wants India to slash taxes on computers. Why not just tax Coca-Cola more for water?

  • Chris Bell has a new job. Former Democratic Governor Candidate and Houston Congressman, Bell has started working for Patton Boggs in DC.

  • Jobsanger thinks we should move up the primary. 21 other states are looking to do the same. Is this the beginning of a National Primary?

  • Want to impress your friends and fellow bloggers by showing how Mike Gravel will win 270 electoral votes? Okay, maybe not Gravel.

  • And of course, I have to plug a site that looks at Senate races.

Mr. Clean Goes Back to Washington (0.00 / 0)

"We'll see if Mr. Clean can hold to those high standards in this new line of work," Buchanan said in a story posted Sunday night on the San Antonio Express-News Web site.

Among the clients of Patton Boggs is Karl Rove which of course raises a question with regard to the ethical standards Mr. Clean claims Patton Boggs adheres to.

National Primary? (0.00 / 0)
Jobsanger thinks we should move up the primary. 21 other states are looking to do the same. Is this the beginning of a National Primary?

No. It's back to the future: Nominees will be picked by party apparatchiks, just like the old days. We the people will just ratify their choice. Just like the Soviet Union.

Anyone wanna get on the bandwagon for letting legislatures choose our senators again?

I think it's time!

The Revolving Door (0.00 / 0)

Patton Boggs is also listed by Open Secrets as the number one "revolving door" in Washington with regard to its hiring of former government officials and their staff members.  Lobbyists do not represent the public interest. They represent the private interest. Which calls into question which interest Mr. Clean really serves.

You certainly have to ask whose interest Patton Boggs serves by representing Karl Rove.
