The bad news just keeps coming for the Texas GOP, but luckily for them, they’ve thoroughly convinced their base that, even in Texas, the media is controlled by liberals.

But now, with the PIU taken out of “liberal Travis County” and put into the hands of the Texas Rangers, will the GOP be as quick to politicize the legendary lawmen? You betcha!

The, now indicted on 3 felony counts Attorney General of Texas Ken Paxton immediately moved to throw the Rangers under the paddywagon.

Paxton spokesman Anthony Holm, before the Rangers’ investigation: “The Texas Rangers have a storied history of professionalism and integrity, and we have full confidence in their abilities and acumen.”

After the investigation and indictment: Paxton’s spokesman accused the special prosecutor of engaging in a politically-motivated “hit job,” and called the investigation of Paxton an effort “to ruin the career of a public servant.”

and… “we are only here because of liberal activists.”

Well that escalated quickly!

Imad and I hit on a lot of other news including Perry’s indictment and his longing for the debate stage.
