While most of the nation is fixated on the already interesting Presidential primary, some are looking at the Senate. No Republican in Texas is as vulnerable in 2008 as the Junior Senator from Texas-- John Cornyn.
The rumor mill has already generated interesting names. From Congressmen looking for a pay raise, to state and local officials looking for a new district, the list of possible candidates is growing while Cornyn's numbers remain a joke.
The last Survey USA polls indicated something shocking, Junior Cornyn is vulnerable in a red state.
A 42% disapproval rating is bad enough, but the devil is in the details. With out a campaign even underway here are some of the real highlights:
- 49% of 18-34 year olds disapprove of Cornyn while only 36% approve
- A majority of African-American's and Hispanics already disapprove of Cornyn.
- 27% of Republican's disapprove of Cornyn
- 43% of Independents disapprove compared to the 40% that don't know better
- When you specifically look at moderates, the disapproval jumps to 47%
What does this all mean? Even though we don't have a candidate yet, we need to begin the hard work now. Donate to the Democratic nominee fund against Cornyn!

Barbara Radnofsky raised a total of $1,482,207 during her entire campaign. John Cornyn already has $3,323,075.
It is possible for us to nickel and dime Cornyn into early retirement. Spread the word, donate, and check back here as we begin to tell you more about Junior Cornyn. |
