Craddick De-Lays

by: Phillip Martin, Progress Texas

Tue Jan 09, 2007 at 02:48 PM CST

It's been over two hours since the end of the inaugural portion of the Texas House proceedings, and we still haven't even voted on the rules for electing a Speaker.

How could Craddick and his parliamentarian not be prepared for this? The answer is -- they couldn't be. Everyone has known this was coming since November 8. The fact is, Craddick is De-Laying everything, and that failing leadership is exactly why his reign of error should end.

that's a good one! (0.00 / 0)
Craddick De-Lays. Love that.

Also, notice the dance with the fight on how the vote will go down. So, well planned with members of Craddick's tightest inner circle taking a turn with the SOS.

Ugh (0.00 / 0)
It seems like they're going to have something to say about everything.

No see TV (0.00 / 0)
Frustrating- I had to leave the Capitol after 1 so I could get my daugther picked up from kindagarten. Figured I'd either watch on web or TV- forget both. Apparently our Times Warner Cable is not the same as Austin's and of course, the web is overloaded- why did they not plan for the increased load and have a temp way to add more capacity?
Does Times Warner not realize that people all over the state might like to see their STATE legislature?
grrrr,

I am glad that they are running hard, but absolutely in despair that I'll have to go through this another day...

Fudd's first law of opposition: Push something hard enough and it will fall over.

that's impossible (0.00 / 0)
such a motion wouldn't be in order at this point.  just more mindless gossip.
