You all worked very hard for that victory. I hope that Denton County can do the same in the future.

Final numbers for the candidate I was campaign manager (Amy Manuel for Denton County Commissioner Pct 2) was a loss but a respectable loss in the reddest area in the county and arguably the entire Metroplex:

Ron Marchant 13816 votes 62.65%
Amy Manuel  8237 votes 37.35%

I want to thank all of my fellow Young Dems, Kirk especially, for all of your hard work.
The Dallas County Young Democrats really pulled it off, if it weren't for our hard work, these guys wouldn't have won, especially the candidates who won by just a few hundred votes.
I am so proud of all of us! It's taken us many years, but we finally did it!!!!!

Now that we have carried the county, and I might add in many cases not by a large margin, we need to consolidate our victories --- This can only be done by results.
I have worked and have a great respect with many if not a majority of these candidates. I have nothing but confedience this will be done.Another suggestion would be to make sure that are candidates after a much deserved rest make sure that they get out and get and stay in touch with the people. Do it now do not wait for the next election cycle. This is true of the party activities in reaching out now to get more people to join the party.
Make no mistake Republicans will not take their losses laying down and they may have been defeated but not beaten.
