Blog-Watch: 3 Days of Lies

by: Matt Glazer

Fri Sep 29, 2006 at 00:34 PM CDT

On September 26, Kinky Friedman put up this post saying Ann Richards endorsed him.

One day later Liz Smith retracts her endorsement on bahalf of Ann Richards.

It would be natural to think that Kinky Friedman would take the endorsement off his website instead of lying to people.

3 days later, and still no correction. Say what you will about his past, but ladies and gentlemen, this is very much a present problem.

Show a champion of ethics, Chris Bell, some love.

Quit Crying (1.60 / 5)
Y'all ought to be ashamed.  You have no chance in recapturing power in Texas because you are a bunch of pantywaists.  Boo-hoo.  If you want real change in Texas, you're going to have to work with the next Governor of Texas, Kinky.  And , Guess What, Kinky is the only candidate with a chance of winning that will even consider your nit-picking, every-which-way agendas.

With All Due Respect,
Joel

Before you win, you have to fight. Come fight along with us at TexasKaos.

I repeat what I previously wrote... (0.00 / 0)
From an earlier comment...

On the Smith/Richards who would have voted thing...I don't know, and no one knows for sure. Personally, I don't think it matters, and I think folks that try to claim Richards for Bell (as some on BOR do) or folks that try to claim her for Friedman (as the Friedman website does) both miss the big, beautiful picture of Governor Richards: the only group that can claim Richards is Texas. It's an honor we have, to be able to say we had such a tremendous person as our Governor. I say let's be happy with that, and leave the politics out of it.

Now, a very great man once said that some people rob you with a fountain pen.

Fog of lies (3.50 / 2)
Kinky was only dreaming, Liz was more than a bit muddled and never in my weirdest nightmares would I believe that Ann Richards would endorse or vote for Kinky for Governor.  I think boadicea is right on this one, Ann had a quite a bit on her mind trying to kick cancer, and didn't do a whole lot of campaign work.  So no, I do not take the fact that she didn't get around to endorsing Chris, as an endorsement of someone else.  I think Chris Bell and his campaign showed her some respect and allowed Ann and her family some privacy during that very trying time.  The Bell family would know full well what those treatments are like.  They've been through it.

Kinky is a lying liar and he should respect the Richard's family and leave Ann out of his race.

3rd Court of Appeals (0.00 / 0)
Please pay attention to this race-it was so important that the Travis County Democrats had to post an "alert" about this court.

I used to work for that court-Our party is not telling the truth!  They work harder than Trial Judges-just go by the Travis COunty Courthouse on a Friday afternoon and look at the front parking lot-NO ONE IS THERE!!  I'm about to switch parties because alot of Democrats work there, but we are being put down with the R's.  Hit Bush where it hurst-in the Congressional races.

I won't stand for dirty politics and lying - we aren't Tom Delay!
