What do door-to-door rapists and sociopathic surgeons have in common? Greg Abbott sided with both of them, instead of their victims.

The latest television ad from the Wendy Davis campaign highlights the case of Dr. Christopher Duntsch. Duntsch lost his license after multiple accusations of malpractice that left his patients injured, and in some cases irreparably maimed or dead.

Greg Abbott used his AG’s office to help the hospital avoid the suits, and was rewarded with a $350,000 donation from the hospital’s board chairman. Now, the story is front and center in Wendy Davis’s latest ad.

Here’s the transcript:

He was a Texas surgeon. Performing operations while reportedly using cocaine.

Two patients died, others were paralyzed.

Doctors spoke out, but the hospital did nothing to stop him.

Families and victims sued the hospital.

Then weeks after accepting a quarter million dollar campaign contribution from the hospital’s chairman, Greg Abbott got involved.

Using his office to go to court, against the victims.

Greg Abbott.  Another insider.  Not working for you.

This is the fourth ad Wendy Davis has released attacking Abbott for working on behalf of his donors and political insiders, rather than the people of Texas.
