It's Friday! Time for your Burnt Orange Reporters to close some browser tabs and touch on the issues of the week.

First up this week. The GOP Twitter won't need sunglasses after this shade.

Below the jump, watch a great World Cup ad, see how College Republicans show that they're the “life of the party,” get the lowdown on the bell hooks Hotline, and more…

As a former Division I athlete and a current PhD student, I support this effort whole-heartedly.

After Rep. Eric Cantor lost his primary on Tuesday night, this suspicious sounding ad appeared on the Washington DC area Craig's List

College Republican want you to know they're the “Life of the Party,” so they made these tank tops — a perfect addition to your next beer pong tourney.

While in Chicago promoting her new book, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton talked about seeing an increasing backlash against the LGBT community around the world through anti-gay laws, and protesting with governments against these “cynical political ploys” during her time as secretary. Clinton recalls times when she even got “into shouting matches with top Russian officials” over their homophobia.

Can we just fast-forward to 2016 already?

This might be the only two minutes of soccer I watch during the World Cup but it's worth it. Ignore who sponsored it.

You know that creepy guy who asked for your phone number and wouldn't take no for an answer? Who made you feel so uncomfortable – and so scared – that you just gave it to him because you were too frazzled to think of a fake? Have I got news for you! Welcome to the future: the bell hooks Hotline. This number responds to calls and texts with quotes from bell hooks, so you don't have to give in to patriarchy. Try it out for yourself, memorize it, and keep it ready for the next creeper. Cheers!

It's baby season at the Houston Zoo! The zoo is celebrating the birth of clouded leopard twins. These are the first clouded leopard to be born at the Houston Zoo and, as is standard practice across all accredited zoos, the cubs are being raised by hand. Clouded leopards are very endangered and their survival is critical to the species. The cubs will remain behind the sciences for several months.

But that's not all! The zoo has hatched209 Attwater's prairie chickens so far this year! The Attwater's prairie chicken is native to the Texas coastline and are on the verge of extinction with less than 100 left in the wild, all in Texas. The species has been nearly eliminated because of growth and development on the Texas coast. Houston and a few other zoological groups have taken the lead to preserve the species, hatching more in huge first half of this year than exist in all of the wild.
