Annie's List's Grace Garcia Sits Down for Interview on Saturday's Wendy Davis Day of Action

by: Joseph Vogas

Fri May 16, 2014 at 11:30 AM CDT

Earlier this morning, Grace Garcia, the executive director of Annie's List, spent some of her morning with me to discuss Saturday's planned day of action for the Wendy Davis campaign.

During the interview, Ms. Garcia hyped this weekend's planned events. With over 200 events currently scheduled over 30 Texas counties, volunteers are expected to knock on doors, make phone calls, and register new voters on Wendy Davis' behalf this Saturday. The last time the campaign held a weekend of action, 51,000 doors were knocked across Texas! The goal is high and the campaign hopes to replicate that success again this weekend.

For supporters who are not yet familiar with the day of action, or still need to sign up, they can head to the event page on Wendy Davis' website and search for events in their neighborhood to volunteer tomorrow!

Listen to the entire interview after the jump and learn why this weekend's activities are so important and what your activism will mean to the campaign going forward!
