Do you want new leadership in Texas, starting with a Governor that puts the people of our state over special interests? Who is committed to funding education, and promoting actual transparency in government?

The Wendy Davis campaign is currently looking for dozens of organizers and regional field directors.

If you were inspired over last summer's special session or have long known that the direction of our state needs to change, now is your chance to put your organizing skills to work in pursuit of that goal.

If you've always been good at handling tons of details and like working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the job for you. If you're a college student about to graduate and looking for a job, this is a great opportunity to break into working on a high-profile campaign. Wendy Davis for Governor is hiring! We are looking for Field Organizers and Regional Field Directors for all over Texas. ORGANIZER

Organizers are the face of the Wendy Davis for Governor campaign in communities across Texas. The primary responsibility of an Organizer is to recruit, manage, and train volunteers to organize their communities and neighborhoods into teams that register, persuade, and motivate voters. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to developing a plan to organize neighborhoods based on their unique characteristics; identifying and cultivating volunteer team leaders; planning and executing events and trainings; building relationships with community leaders; and ensuring data integrity. Organizers report directly to their Regional Field Director.

Skills & Qualifications:

* Candidate must have a desire to learn and a willingness to receive feedback.
* Candidates with fluency in Spanish are encouraged to apply.
* Candidate must have the ability to communicate with diverse communities and leaders.
* Candidate must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours, including nights and weekends.
* Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, experience meeting deadlines, and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously.

REGIONAL FIELD DIRECTOR

Regional Field Directors are the face of the Wendy Davis for Governor campaign in communities across Texas, and manage our grassroots infrastructure of organizing staff and volunteer teams who are advancing to help elect Wendy in November 2014. The primary responsibility of a Regional Field Director is to manage a team of field organizers as they build teams of neighborhood volunteers who register, persuade, and motivate voters. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to developing a plan to organize their region based on its unique characteristics; managing their organizers' professional development and success; planning and executing events and trainings; building relationships with community leaders; and ensuring data integrity. RFDs report directly to their Deputy Field Director.

Skills & Qualifications:

* Candidate must have a desire to learn and a willingness to receive feedback.
* Candidates with fluency in Spanish strongly encouraged to apply.
* Candidate must have demonstrated ability to organize in diverse communities.
* Candidate must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours, including nights and weekends.
* Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, experience meeting deadlines, and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously.
* Candidate should have a minimum of one full cycle of experience organizing in political campaigns.
* Candidate must have experience managing staff or volunteers in successful organizing projects.
* Candidate should have a demonstrated ability to use technology, including spreadsheets and databases.
