It's Friday! Time for your Burnt Orange Reporters to close some browser tabs and touch on the issues of the week.

Let's kick off this week with a rousing in-flight rendition of The Circle of Life, from the Australian cast of the Lion King.

Below the jump, catch up on your cryptozoology with a chupacabra sighting, groan at a seafood pun, and more...

The race to replace Rob Ford as Mayor of Toronto promises to be interesting, that's for sure.

This Kinky Friedman "unofficial campaign tune" is my fave thing on the internet this week: "Texas Freed, Man." I'm only curious why its 4:21 long instead of 4:20.

In Oklahoma, Republican Representative Doug Cox- yes, a Republican - is speaking out against his party's restrictive abortion laws. Why? He says it best: "This bill is prejudiced. It's prejudiced against women. A 14-year-old boy can go to the truck stop and buy all the condoms he wants. He can control his destiny. This bill takes the ability to control their destiny away from women. But that's what we do in the Republican Party these days."

A family in Ratcliffe thinks they found a real life "baby chupacabra," and it's ALIVE! Check out the up close video. One expert says it appears to be some sort of canine, but it is clearly not a dog, because they don't eat with their hands. It looks more like a hairless raccoon with a bad case of the mange.
