Burnt Orange Report Endorses Helen Giddings for HD-109

by: Burnt Orange Report

Sat Feb 15, 2014 at 01:00 PM CST

Helen Giddings is a seasoned legislator with a record of accomplishment. We unanimously endorse her for re-election in HD 109.

Helen Giddings has represented DeSoto for ten terms in the Texas House, and she has many accomplishments to show for it. The most prominent of these has been her work on identity theft, successfully passing ten bills that prosecute perpetrators and protect victims of identity theft.

She is also a senior member of the Democratic delegation. She serves on the Calendars and Appropriations committees, and is the vice chair of the State Affairs Committee. Her leadership positions reflect her record of service.

We are confident that if re-elected, Helen Giddings will continue to add to her record of good work on behalf of her constituents.

Helen Giddings is a Democrat with a consistent record of advocating for her constituents. We enthusiastically endorse her for re-election.

Early Voting: February 18-February 28, 2014 | Election Day: Tuesday March 4

Helen Giddings is a "Friend of Rick" who was one of the turncoat Democrats in the Lege to stay in Austin during midterm redistricting nearly a decade ago.

It's too bad Genevieve Gregory is an underfunded newbie who's unfortunately not making herself better known to voters, because almost anybody would probably be an upgrade.
