While the alarm bells on climate change keep getting louder and louder, the impact of climate change in Texas through drought and wildfire becomes more severe, and a call for action becomes more nonpartisan, there are still those elected officials who deny the basic, fundamental truth of climate science.

Its time to call these elected officials out as being out of the mainstream, and for taking a dangerous and irresponsible position for the planet, our well being, and for future generations.

The Texas League of Conservation Voters is partnering with Organizing For Change (OFA) and the Climate Action Network to hold a Climate Day of Action on Tuesday, August 13.  We will be presenting Climate Denier Awards to federal elected officials who have stuck their heads in the sand on climate change.

Here in Travis County, we will be focusing our organizing efforts at event targeting Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn.  We invite you to join us for these events.  Details are below.

Tuesday August 13th, Climate Day of Action

11 AM – Senator John Cornyn

Location:  221 West 6th Street, 78701

12 PM – Senator Ted Cruz

Location:  JJ Pickle Federal Courthouse Plaza – East 9th Street between San Jacinto and Trinity

We hope to see you on the 13th!
