Why is Greg Abbott Campaigning from Rick Perry's Accounts?

by: Ben Sherman

Sun Jul 14, 2013 at 00:36 PM CDT

Rick Perry is very eager to continue his terrible legacy by handing over the governor's office to Greg Abbott. So eager, in fact, that he's given Abbott access to the Rick Perry campaign accounts.

Below the jump, check out an email from Greg Abbott but sent from Rick Perry's campaign email address:

This is more than Perry handing over his email list to Abbott, that action alone very strange. Rick Perry is letting Greg Abbott run his campaign through Perry's accounts. If there was any lingering doubt about whether Greg Abbott and Rick Perry are from the same exact cloth, there can be no more.

Rick Perry also posted the thank-you card to his Facebook account...but this time, from Abbott's campaign. Note the "Paid for by Texans for Greg Abbott" stamp at the bottom left:

Clearly, the Greg Abbott campaign is nothing but a continuation of Perry's past campaigns. This full bequeathing of Perry's political resources, is, of course, unsurprising when Greg Abbott was Rick Perry's choreboy for the past eleven years.
