Today, we're excited to share with the Burnt Orange Report community the launch of the Texas Blue Pages, a free career network for employers and job seekers in the Texas progressive community.
The Texas Blue Pages is a landing page on the web that offers a proprietary Texas-based jobs list, and links to a directory of other progressive job lists both in and out of our state. It also connects to organizations offering career development resources such as training and resume writing.
If you're a Texas employer, this is a free place where you can post a job. You can also find links to a directory of political vendors and consultants.
If you're a Texas job seeker, this is a free place where you can look up jobs in Texas - and find a directory of other job lists and career resources both in and out of Texas. The site is live and there are jobs available to search right now!
The idea for Texas Blue Pages came during post-election political career workshops held last December in Austin, in which both employers and employees mentioned the need for a Texas-specific network to bind our professional community together. Conversations that took place over the weeks that followed helped offer a better idea of how this might work. Today, we're excited to bring you the fruition of that work.
