| Austin Independent School District starts back up today, and students will return to school to find fewer supplies and services. Across the state, schools are suffering massive budget cuts that are forcing teacher layoffs and drastically reduced budgets. Textbooks are scarce and out of date, school buses are selling advertising space, and physical education programs are being reduced.
