| When a candidate resorts to lying and trying to create a false narrative, you know they've reached a serious point of desperation. Republican Larry Gonzales has issued a press release stating the following: The debates and forums that Diana Maldonado has declined are the following: The Lynn Woolley syndicated talk radio show; the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce...
The Lynn Wooley show is a Tea Party station -- of course Rep. Maldanado wouldn't agree to that one. But Larry Gonzales is straight-up lying about Rep. Maldanado not wanting to show up for the the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce debate. In fact, on her public calendar on her campaign website, you can see this: This isn't a lie Larry Gonzales only told once. This is a lie Larry Gonzales first said in the press release, and has since repeated over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over since he sent out his press release. In addition to that debate, there is another debate scheduled at a college in the area which the two will attend, and a third that is under works. Given how obvious this was to prove, I've got to wonder: Is Larry Gonzales stupid, a liar, or both? |
