I am Here
By Katie Naranjo
Hello to all,
I am Katie Naranjo a new voice of the Burnt Orange Report, thanks to Byron. I am ready and excited to write on a variety of topics involving the Texas Legislature, Austin political gatherings, and current events of interest. Currently, I am facinated with the Terri Schiavo story and the controversy of legal guardianship with a patient in a vegitative state. Word to the wise, if you wish to not have extreme measure staken, fill out a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) order and make it known legally.
In local news, Wednesday there will be a City Council Forum, where the candidates for Place 3 will duke it out for the right to be dubbed City Council member. Although not as physical as I hoped, city council candidates will be present to field questions from University of Texas students. FYI: There will be free food & drinks, and for the first hundred people at Jester a free t-shirt as well. All are encouraged to attend this riveting event at Jester Auditorium at 7:30, Wednesday March 30th.
That is all for now, will post again when I think of something intellegent to say.

Between you and Vince, East Texas is beginning to get a voice around here! Good to see you on here Katie.
Hey Katie, like all BOR posters, I encourage you to provide as much SG coverage and critique as is reasonably possible. Thanks :)
Oh, so now I have competition for my Burnt Orange Report from the floors eh?
Welcome!
FYI, appropriate "fill-in-the-blank" legal forms for this situation are available on Professor Alderman's web site:

I thought the forum was at 7:30 on Wednesday, not 6:30.
it is at 7:30, sorry I will change it.
Katie, don't waste too much of your time on SG.
Yay!! Another female voice! Welcome, Katie! :) We gals have to stick together on this testosterone-heavy blog, lol! :) (Before I get flamed, just kidding...:))
Welcome Katie.
Not too heavy on the SG entries, I hope. Some of us readers are rather post-grad to follow the doings...
I kid, I kid.
Actually, I just skip. Heh.
At any rate, welcome, and I think this is my longest BOR comment to day. I'm more a lurker here.
Boadicea - I agree with you. SG stuff is great, but I appreciate limited SG posting, or at least extended entry-ing longer articles.
