I'm sorry. I didn't mean to imply that Andrew be cut loose. I wouldn't presume to ever tell anyone their business like that.... just the latest series of posts, which, at one point, equated the pro-choice viability argument made by numerous people of conscience with Nazi and Sudanese genocide. I'll admit that that's a little off-putting, in that I would expect to find it on an Operation Rescue message board.

Whatever you are doing and however you feel, just keep it up as the efforts, the enthusiasm and the dedication you folks show to giving this government back to its' people is truly refreshing. Lot's of us have hope when things are in the hands of people like you.

I'll second my old buddy Carl's advice. Well, I feel a bit sheepish following two of the finest men in Texas politics with a comment, but I'll go ahead. I feel that debate is important for our party and for our country, so I've put up some contrarian posts of late. But I'm still a Democrat, and I want us all to stay a big happy family.

We agree on far more than we disagree on. We resist the attempts of a handful of ultra-right Republicans to take government out of the hands of everyday Americans and transfer that power to special interests that will trod the innocent underfoot. We resist dishonesty and irresponsibility in government. And we love the Democratic Party. Add all of this up, and I'd say we have a great blog.

Mostly right, Jim. I have mixed feelings on gun control. I support requiring trigger locks, closing the gun show loophole, and the assault weapons ban, but beyond that I think that the most important thing is to enforce existing gun laws. I guess that you could call that a moderately pro-gun control position.

Some of Jim's and Karl-Thomas's posts make me laugh as well. Jim - for his general quirky oddness about him, and Karl-Thomas for his cult-like love of all things Howard Dean, among other things. I enjoy reading both.

Andrew's posts that promote a right-wing socially conservative ideology irritate me a bit at times, but I'm not in a position to censor anything. I'd prefer to see Andrew write more on the ins-and-outs of what's going on with Texas Democrats, since his job places him in a great position to give the inside scoop on that type of information, but regardless, I'm pleased overall with the posts of Andrew and all of our writers.

I don't discourage spinoff blogs that Jim and Karl-Thomas have done (and Nate has his own blog as well)... in fact I bought ByronLaMasters.com this past week. For now, it just redirects to BOR, but I may do something with it in the coming weeks/months.

Thanks for the flattery in your final point Jim, and yes I do have a liking for really gay dance techno music. What can I say..

Please go easy on the spinoff blogs. It's already a nightmare trying to track everything down these days!

i don't think that it's a big issue. Jim and Karl-Thomas mostly post more personal and specific posts on their own personal blogs, but continue to post important / major stories on BOR. At least that's what I've noticed.
