I forgot to mention the other day that the Ignite ticket has already 'won' one seat in the assembly due to Connect's Engineering candidate Melvin Ike being removed last week for some unknown reason.

This is a great idea. We would use something like this at Texas Tech.

No Problem. The candidates have been invited to the UDems endorsement meeting tomorrow night as well.

Yeah, I think we in the UDs should just endorse candidates rather than a whole slate of people. If our purpose is to promote the Democratic Party we should only support Democrats, much like we do with City Council elections. Still, I'll be voting for some non Democrats- whoever I pick for VP, Courtney Livingston for an at large spot and I would vote for Grant Stanis in the Business school were I able to vote for that spot. But the UDs are about helping Democrats, that's what we should do.

Funny. I remember a year ago a certain Andrew Dobbs running for SG saying at the UDs endorsement meeting that we should vote to endorse the entire ticket, not just the Democrats that were running on them. Are we flip-flopping now Andrew?

Seriously, you were right last year in arguing that the UD endorsment is bullshit unless it votes for an entire ticket. It's just that last year, the UDs members were on a ticket led by the son of a Republican legislative guy and a YCT member. Bad idea.

The UDs will endorse either an entire ticket tonight or issue no endorsement at all.

I think all of the SEC people are dems, not like that matters with the SEC.

I heard you're on the endorsement board thingy Karl t
