Something Stirs in Mordor
By Jim Dallas
Chris Elam informs us that Dark Lord Sauron Tom DeLay may be on the move.
Looks like Frodo failed... again. (It's an old UD joke).
Hat Tip to Kevin at blogHouston.

I'm all for DeLay as Speaker. Isn't he already effectively speaker? Dennis who?
If DeLay is Speaker, that's great for Democrats. Hastert comes across as your all-American grandpa. DeLay on the other hand, well... Jim pegs it - Dark Lord Sauron or something like that.
Hastert started off as your average fascist version of Grandpa Jones, all avuncular and "wise". But lately he's gone from Wilford Brimley to a fat, mean James Coburn (see "Affliction" with Nick Nolte) crossed with the adorably hateful Mr. Potter of "It's a Wonderful Life." He's probably just out of Metamucil.
Check *this* out: HILLARY & THE HAMMER IN 2008? AND FRAN DRESCHER. . . at The Washington Note. It's an interesting read.
