Young Democrats, You Control 3 DNC Votes

By Karl-Thomas Musselman

If you are a member of a Young Democrats chapter, you can vote for DNC chair in the Young Democrats of America online Poll, which will determine where the 3 votes we control go for DNC chair.

So all you University Democrats at UT-Austin and otherwise, head on over and make your voice heard. Unlike DNC members from Texas not paying attention to the wishes of the grassroots of the State Democratic Party, you can make a difference this time.

Vote in the Poll Here.

Byron, since it's a rigged poll, I wouldn't expect you to vote in it. :)

Also, if you are in Arizona, your State Chair actually wants your imput on how to vote. So you can go vote here as well!

Can I vote too?

Well, I will actually vote in this one as it actually might have an impact on some DNC votes.

Yeah, since the Texas delegates weren't to be bothered with anyone's opinion in their state. :)

hmmmm yes, why don't I just call up David Holmes and ask him about that...

actually, I've asked David to do a guest post regarding your belief that there is a disconnect between the activists and the dnc delegates, and his thoughts on the dft "poll".

so hopefully, i'll get something soon.

David Holmes is one person, and probably the only one who has talked to the grassroots. And if the whole state wasn't going for Frost, would be very impressed with Rosenberg, for which I don't blame him at all.

You will keep flogging the dft poll as much as you can, but like my father always said, "If you don't vote, don't bitch."

What is sad in this race, is that it is centered around Dean and those against Dean for the most part. For Frost, it's not so much that people are for Frost, it's just that they have a feeling that it will come down to him and Dean and they don't want to vote for Dean.

At least Rosenberg or Fowler was trying to define the agenda and the people support them because they believe in them more so than others.

Your California brethren seem to be complete Deaniacs. Its like he's a savior or something.

David Holmes the only person who has talked to the grassroots???

Perhaps you forgot how Charles Soechting read Andrew's comments attacking him here, then proceeded to sit down and meet with Andrew, Jim and I to have us help the party. He ended up hiring Andrew.

Sue Lovell is closely tied to the grassroots in the GLBT community.

I can't speak for the rest of the Texas DNC members, but making a blanket statement that they have not "talked to the grassroots" seems rather irresponsible to me.
