Andrew's Comments Earlier today
By Byron LaMasters
I called Andrew earlier this evening and told him that I thought that this post was inappropriate. I timedated it down a few slots, because I felt that it distracted from several other posts this evening. Every writer of this blog is free to express their own opinion, but at times we disagree. I think that Andrew's criticism of Kos and Jerome was a cheap shot and unfair. Andrew's not by a computer at the moment, but he might have some comments later on this evening.

FWIW, Thanks for that Byron. I remember how hard it was at times when I had disagreements with my blogging partner.
However people feel about what Andrew wrote I think that he meant it sincerely. I don't agree with it but I'm not going to flame him for it either.
I'm a DKos/MyDD/TPM fan that comes here 4-5 times a week. I love your site and the other sites that I've linked to from here. You guys generally have well thought out opinions and present them well.
My very first duty station in the Navy was Kingsville Tx. I was young, the town had exactly 3 bars for 35,000 people yet I loved the place. If you guys had a few more hills I'd think about moving back there.
I'm come here to get pumped up when I'm feeling down about living in a Southern State that trends Republican. I figure if you guys haven't given up the fight living in Texas then I need to pull the lip back in, get my back up and keep working.
Thanks for a great blog.
Lisa
Thanks for the comments Lisa... we try our best to make folks feel strong about being good Democrats in the South.
Byron, you guys are doing a good job.
Y'all are doing a good job.
I was surprised by Andrew's comments, not because I think Democratic Blogistan has cotton candy skies and free beer for all, but because the "journalistic" standards he was proposing seemed to me to be violated by his very post.
I'm still trying to sort it out in my mind, but I don't thing blogs are defacto journalism. I'm not sure it's at all clear exactly what they are yet.
Andrew Dobbs is a tool. He's a moron. He's an unintelligent blowhard who writes about issues that he doesn't understand. He should have been dumped by this website a long time ago. He stinks it up. How many moronic posts does Andrew have to write before Byron wises up about this guy? I understand being loyal to your friends, but, shit, don't let them drag you down. Part of growing up is learning when to let go.
