What's the Matter with Kansas
By Karl-Thomas Musselman
Welcome to 2005. Or 1955 if you happen to be the Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas. Apparently large quantities of homosexuals attracted God's wrath in the Indian Ocean. It makes perfect sense doesn't it? Why else would California and especially San Francisco get hit by quakes as well? (Other than the fact that it's sitting on fault lines)

I've driven through Kansas a few times in the past couple of years. There's nothing there. It is really no wonder that people there are losing their minds. Most likely out of sheer boredom.
Phelps is a nutcase. In any other state he'd most likely be institutionalized.
Lem - you're probably not too far off the mark. I read the first hundred pages of "what's the matter with kansas" on the airplane, and i agree, those folks are crazy. I'll post some sort of review when I finish - probably on the way home.
Phelps...is that the same guy who used to go and harass mourners at funerals of AIDS victims? I believe it is the same guy, and when his grandson did that as a "community service" project, the teacher refused to accept it, and Phelps went to court, and the judge sided with him. So, the little homophobe's teacher was forced to give him credit.
It is incomprehensible in this day and age that someone could write something, even think something like this person put down on this... I dont even know what to call it. Was it a newspaper?
It is pathetic to look at a natural disaster and say "this was God's pubishment." If God was passing out natural disasters to people that were ungodly, that man would have died three days before he was born. It is vile, putrid, and repugnant to even suggest that this was God's punishment for homosexually. If I didnt know better, I'd say this man was America's punishment for us being the world's last super power.
First time on the blog tonight, great work. Keep it up. Happy New Year.
On a personal note, please visit the home of my organization Republicans and Democrats for Positive and Issue Oriented Politics (http://www.rdpiop.com). We have launched our Revolution ’06 campaign, so please feel free to visit, sign up, read stories, from 150 newspapers daily, and correspond on our blog as well.
Raymond -
I expect I'll have my hands full rubbing the noses of the Republican-controlled House, Senate, and Presidency in the disastrous results of their vicious methods and self-serving policies.
But good luck with the positive issues thing.
