Burnt Orange in Oklahoma
By Byron LaMasters
I guess it's only fitting that since our readers had to view crimson and cream for three days after OU beat Texas, that students at OU get to read about burnt orange in their student newspaper today.

Glad they called you . . . this is about the best student-started site I know of. I actually came across you guys while I was trying to monitor coverage of redistricting when I was working on the case . . . you had better, richer stuff that the Kornburg report, and also had a sense of humor.

Thanks, Keith. You're my first stop for everything Oklahoma...
Likewise . . . tho, not being native, I will admit that seems to be a somewhat dubious distinction in some ways . . . ;)
Tom Coburn is an unusual combination of William Proxmire, Huey Long, and Jesse Helms. I am sure we will keep you quite entertained for the next six years.
Well, the silver lining from Tom Coburn would be that he'll make for some great Democratic fundraising letters. I think it's still a squeaker either way... don't tell me Coburn's gonna win... Arrgghh.
He's up by seven in the last poll . . . it is all about turnout. I've got a sense of something in the wind, unlike a sense I've had since 1994 . . . back then I went out on a limb and said the R's would pick up 46 seats and take Congress. Caught grief until about 10:30, when the unexpected GOP turnout of evangelicals knocked off 33 incumbent d's and also picked up about 20 open seats. If Carson wins, it is all about GOTV effort . . . we've got heavy early voting through today. We'll see what happens.
If you guys get bored tomorrow night, I'll be streaming commentary on the radio at KTOK.com, starting at 6PM CST.
