Ok, this is my last bit on this, but it struck me earlier today...
John Edwards: "Hope is on the way."
John Kerry: "Help is on the way."
Zell Miller: "Hate is on the way."

"He betrayed our country, he prayed on our fears" Al Gore. How about Howard Dean? Come on lets try harder. Crocadile Tears...
How's that $5000.00 look now?
hahaha...
If Zell Miller hadn't struck a chord last night, you and the libs wouldn't be so peeved today. If he is really such a nutcase, why aren't you guys laughing instead of pouting? =)
Nutcases don't go running around talking about how much they love their families and how much they want to protect them. Nutcases don't declare that "my family is more important than my party". =)
I can understand how this would be hateful speech to those who think that politics and party should trump all else... like the authors of this blog. (I refer you to Byron's post on canvassing Oklahoma from two weeks ago).
So kick Zell out of the party, call him nutty, call him hateful.
The man will keep loving his family and his freedom.
The thought that "Hate is on the way" came to you because any time a conservative gets angry, you only hear "hate."
Your rules have limited us from the emotion of legitimate anger. Righteous indignation is off limits for us on the right. And a spirited defense of our position... never.
Besides, GW Bush said "Help is on the way" in Y2k.
And it went to Afghanastan --- 25MM Liberated (not occupied).
Then it went to Iraq --- 25 MM Liberated (not occupied).
And it went to Afghanastan --- 25MM Liberated (not occupied).
Then it went to Iraq --- 25 MM Liberated (not occupied).
So why are our troops even there? Is it some kind of tea social there attending with all the gloriously liberated Iraqis?
* err, I mean to say, is it some kind of tea social they're attending with all the gloriously liberated Iraqis?
(at their invitation, I am sure)
Jim D:
We are there because the independent democratic nation of Iraq has not yet recruited and trained a military and policing force capable of taking on the job themselves. When they have one we will (in most part) leave.
Another reason we are ther is because The Independent and oppressive nation of Iran continues to send reinforcements to the wannabe Super-Jawa, Muqtada Al-Sadr. We should have dug in for a final fight with him in April. He should be dead now. But no, your "negotiate with the insane" - U.N. types wanted to just trust him.
Kill him. Line troops along the Iranian border, and stablize Iraq.
As Colin Powell said, "if you break it, you own it" and we do own it--- until the newly independent democratic nation can get back on its feet.
Looks like a lot of Bush people read this site. Byron L you need to change your direction, become a W fan.
So why are our troops even there?
With this logic, we're occupying South Korea, Germany, Bosnia, etc.
