Note that you asked "... killing a fetus?" which seems to be an admission that it is a fetus and not a person...
The answer is: An abortion gives a woman a choice over what is forced in/on her body. Sure, most abortions are not from rape, but around half are due to the failure of conscienciously-used birth control.
