Richard Morrison Among the "Dean Dozen"
By Byron LaMasters
As promised, Howard Dean's new group Democracy for America has come out with a list of a dozen progressive Democratic candidates that they'll be working to help get elected. Among those candidates is the challenger to Tom DeLay, Richard Morrison:
Richard Morrison for United States House of Representatives from Texas. Want to get rid of Tom DeLay? Here's your chance. Morrison is hitting back at "The Hammer" by competing against him in the Texas 22nd. Join me and get involved in the fight today. www.richardmorrisonfordistrict22.com
Morrison has raised over $30,000 online advertizing on DailyKos in recent weeks, so Dean's help should only serve to help him even more. You can donate to Morrison, here.

You should have an arrangement with Morrison and the rest of the candidated to track donations from your blog.
In a pinch, have a penny amount, and have people donate to the penny.
If you chose $0.92, people would at 92 cents, and they would know that it's from you.
There are also referrer setups that would do this automatically on the web.
BTW, any polls on the Delay-Morrison race?
Welcome Matthew- I am assuming this is one of your first times here simply b/c we do have a tracking system- we ask our readers to add $0.36 to donations as we are one of the top blogs in Texas and Texas won its Independence in 1836.
Some polling has been done and it looks very good for Richard Morrison. DeLay's Approval/Disapproval numbers are 44/48, only 37% of voters said they would definitely vote for him while 54% said they certainly or maybe would vote for someone else. the District is also 54% pro-choice and with an indictment hanging over his head, DeLay is worried.
At the same time, the important issue is not "will Morrison win" as he himself said on Air America Radio's Majority Report. The important thing is that if DeLay has to spend 5 million bucks on his own reelection, thats 4.5 million that isn't going to Republicans around the country. Morrison's race helps Democrats everywhere and he offers a real chance for Democrats here in Texas!
I understand why we (and I live in Baltimore) should support him.
I was just curious if anyone had run numbers yet.
