Any News on TX. State Sen. 1 special election?
Whew. Good thing for us Repugs that, thanks to redistricting, Texas will be sending seven new (R - Texas) people to Congress to make up for this loss...
And the SD loss. The House GOP leadership can pass almost anything as long as they have a 1 vote margin and control the gavel.
Don't count SD a Dem gain just yet. SD is a very GOP state, it's Senators notwithstanding, and the main reason Deidrich is down so much right now is no one has heard of him, while everyone knows Herseth from her last race. That will change. Still, you kicked our buts in KY tonight, and deserve congratulations. I second Mark, I too am glad we can expect to see another 5-6 Repubs out of Texas to provide an electoral cushion against any other gains you might make.

That's why Delay was so adamant about re-redistricting. He knew he would lose the House otherwise. He knew he would lose and so he changed the rules. What a sore brat.
FYI. About a block away from my house tonight was a four alarm fire (20 trucks) at a small church. Good news is no one was hurt. And miraculously the fire did not spread (it was an old stone structure).
