Exit Polls

By Byron LaMasters

Via Political Wire:

South Carolina: Edwards 44, Kerry 30, Sharpton 10

Oklahoma: Edwards 31, Kerry 29, Clark 28

Missouri: Kerry 52, Edwards 23, Dean 10

Delaware: Kerry 47, Dean 14, Lieberman 11, Edwards 11

Arizona: Kerry 46, Clark 24, Dean 13

Good news for Kerry and Edwards. Bad news for Sharpton (fourth place in SC?), Clark (third in OK and way back in AZ), Dean (where to start...) and Lieberman (shoulda dropped out last week).

I think it's idiotic for anyone to be releasing exit polls in the middle of the day. For Christ's sake, why do we even bother voting anymore if we can't wait to report anything until at least, all the ballots are cast? Have we learned absolutly NOTHING in the last four years? I am thouroughy disgusted.

Politics will always have exit polls. Deal with it. I don't think the major networks should be allowed to release them until the polls close, but with the internet and bloggers part of political realities for the forseable future, leaked exit polls are inevitable.
