Paul Sadler for State Senate
By Byron LaMasters
Here's the Filings for the State Senate District 1 special election. Former State Rep. Paul Sadler is the only Democrat in the race.
Update: For more on Sadler and how to help his campaign, read this post.

Everyone in the DFW area needs to barnstorm East Texas to help Paul Sadler. Contact his campaign to get involved. A January election is about turnout, turnout, turnout.
So let's get off our butts, go to East Texas (and phone back from wherever) and embarass the Republicans by taking back this seat. We will have to work hard, but it IS doable.
Those of us on the eastern edge of SD-2 need to help Paul Sadler, too.
Unfortunatly, we don't get to vote for a State Senator this year, because the Republican now holding the seat drew for a FOUR YEAR TERM. Of all the years David Cain held that seat, never once did he draw a four year term. Of all the lousy, rotten luck!
Sadler will need all the help he can get, too. His main GOP opponent (at least, in my analysis) is former Tyler Mayor Kevin Eltife. Eltife is well-funded (personal wealth included) and supported by the largest daily newspaper in the area, the Tyler Morning Telegraph.
See ya'll in Tyler this Saturday for sign building!
Merry X-mas & Happy Hannukah (two more nights to go!)
