Howard Dean's son charged with Burglary
By Byron LaMasters
This is an unfortunate event, and Howard Dean is handling it the right way. A lot of people give Bush a hard time for the trouble that his daughters get into. Not me. I have no problem with attacking Bush for his past, but the media ought to lay off his daughters. I certainly have my own vices (no, I've never stolen liquor from a country club before), which my friends could attest to, but fortunately, I don't have famous parents, so I don't have much to worry about most of the time (Mom and Dad, if you're reading this... I'm good, I promise). It's tough enough for young people our age having to live in the shadow of their famous parents, and to have the media spotlight on them. I don't excuse what his son did... he should be punished according to the laws on the books, but the privacy of the family ought to be respected. I wish Howard Dean and his family the best.

This story has a bad headline: Paul hasn't been charged with anything yet, and it will likely be accessory, not burglary.
When the daughter of President Charles Taylor of Liberia was suspended from school for misbehavior, the president gave her a spanking in front of her classmates.

I suspect they do things differently in Vermont.
Seriously, this should not become an issue.
Maybe this is pertinent and maybe it's not.
I live in San Pedro Town Belize and interestingly Howard Dean and son chose to vacation here over Christmas. Well my favorite establishment, Cholo's Bar was where he and son chose to stop one fine day, the Gov for a Johnny Walker and/or Black Label and his son for a Belikin Beer. Interestingly there is a drinking age law here of which his son did not meet so I guess we can see why his son needed to steal the beer so badly while in the States. His Dad let him drink illegally in Belize but not at home.
